WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Classroom expectations
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: We are entering a new realm of learning. Following the classroom expectations helps create a smooth transition from summer break back to the physical classroom... and a fun way to get to know one another! Expectations and rules guarantee the safety of students in the classroom. Equipment lasts longer and the classroom environment is more enjoyable. Finally, it leads to student success!
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: Today you will answer questions as we learn more about our class!
Be in class on time...simple!
If you are tardy, stop and use the restroom before coming to class. Tardy student will not get priority to use restroom/water.
Show respect to the teacher, fellow students and all items in the classroom!
Treat all the equipment with respect. Because if you break it, you might be buying it!
NO Cell phones...Please put them in your backpack when entering the room!!)
Passes or a camera to be outside of the class WITH PERMISSION FIRST. Being outside of class without permission is the equivalent of a cut.
Backpacks stay in the classroom when out taking photos!
Food and drinks need to stay outside of class. Please put all items away COMPLETELY!
Absolutely NO gum or candy is allowed
Please stay in assigned seats. For safety of yourself, classmates and equipment!
Take note of your equipment each day. Tell me immediately if somthing is missing or broken etc. It is YOUR responsibility to let me know!!!
Roll is taken visually. Please be IN YOU OWN seat.
Complete assignments before games/free time (You will be instructed if there is free/game time)
Students are to stay at a voice level of TWO (2) or below
Violent video games are not to be played in class. No First Person Shooters (like Shell Shockers)
Music is allowed during independent work time but NO YouTube with headphones only!
You may come in to make up work as long as you are doing work in class. I will not stay after school if you choose to not do work in class.
You are responsible for all assignments even if you are absent.
You MUST have permission to use the bathroom or go for water breaks. Signing out in 5Star is required after getting permission to go! Remember there is a 6 minute timeline.
Even if it is on your desk, it will be placed in a bag etc!
The BELL DOES NOT release you...I do!
(Please stay in your seats until released!)
“Cheating is the actual or attempted practice of dishonest or deceptive acts for the purpose of improving one’s grade or obtaining course credit; such acts also include assisting another student to do so. It is the intent of this definition that the term ‘cheating’ not be limited to testing situations only, but that it includes any and all actions by a student that are intended to gain an unearned academic advantage by dishonest or deceptive means. Plagiarism is a specific form of cheating which consists of the misuse of published and/or unpublished works of others by representing the material as one’s own work.”
Through the entire course we will discuss the use of Ai in certain aspects. However, ALL work completed MUST be your own! Ai is heavily detectable and will be considered cheating if used inappropriately!
This year you will continue to learn how to use digital photography cameras, industry standard software, and learn how to employ these tools in creative and artistic ways.
Also, you will explore many “soft skills” that you will find invaluable. (Soft skills are the skills that will help land you that job someday.)
Congratualtions! You have also been hired to be "Yearbook" photographers!
This is a project-based class, meaning you will primarily be graded on your ability to complete these projects and complete them on time.
Some projects will be group projects, though each student will turn in their OWN work
